Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor: Investing in Bioethanol is an Investment in the Rural Economy
In keynote remarks in Brussels, Skor highlights bipartisan support for clean fuel incentives and global opportunity for U.S. farmers
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM β Growth Energy CEO Emily Skor today delivered keynote remarks at the 28th Annual World Ethanol & Biofuels Conference, underscoring the strength of Americaβs rural economy and the growing global demand for homegrown bioethanol.
Skor highlighted the Trump Administrationβs extension of the clean fuel production tax credit and the bipartisan coalition that continues to drive U.S. leadership in biofuels. She noted that support for American bioethanol is rooted in its benefits for farmers, small businesses, and rural communities nationwide.
βWhen we invest in sustainable bioethanol, weβre investing in the rural economy. Strengthening the agricultural sector. Boosting GDP. And creating a supply chain that starts and stops on domestic soil.β
Skor also emphasized that the outlook for American bioethanol has never been stronger, as countries around the world look to expand their use of affordable, low-carbon fuels.
βOur future has never been clearer and our outlook has never been more positive. The state of the bioeconomy is getting stronger virtually by the day. And I donβt just mean in the U.S. but in Europe and all over the world.β
Skor called on policymakers and global partners to work together to expand access to bioethanol and recognize the shared economic and environmental benefits of increased trade and cooperation.
βThe more countries that enter the bioethanol market, the better for all of us. Because the demand for low-carbon fuel is only going up.β
βAmerican bioethanol is fueling economic growth at home and delivering real solutions abroad,β Skor added. βOur industry is built on farmers, innovation, and a steadfast commitment to helping nations meet their energy needs affordably and sustainably.β
