The town of Hayward doesn’t see $1.5 billion business opportunities coming its way every day, and even fewer that would connect forestry to sustainable energy. But that's the idea behind a proposed partnership between a German firm and a local timber business to build a plant that would convert woody biomass into sustainable aviation fuel.Β
