People living with disabilities may soon find it easier to access the Apostle Islands

The nonprofit group Friends of the Apostle Islands raised about $350,000 or just more than half of the funds needed to build a 500-foot ramp to improve access to Meyers Beach. Construction is set to begin later this month.
