McConnell falls while at U.S. Capitol but is reported to be βfineβ

WASHINGTON β U.S. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Tuesday tripped and fell after a GOP lunch, sprained his wrist and sustained a small cut on his face, his office said in a statement.
The Kentucky Republican is doing fine, and after receiving medical attention, βhas been cleared to resume his schedule,β his office said in the three-sentence statement read to reporters.
McConnell, 82, is a polio survivor, and has tripped in the past.
The incoming Senate GOP leader, Sen. John Thune of South Dakota, said that McConnell was βfineβ and deferred all other questions to McConnellβs office.Β
