Silent Book Clubs bring people together for reading and community

The Silent Book Club movement kicked off in 2015 in California. According to the organization’s web site, there are more than 2,000 clubs around the world, including more than 30 in Wisconsin.

Chad McGehee started as the director of meditation training at Wisconsin Athletics in 2020 β€” the first ever person to hold that title in a major college sports program. McGehee tells athletes that meditation is β€œstrength and conditioning for the mind.”
