U.S. Rep. Tom Tiffany voted against five House resolutions directing President Donald Trump to remove U.S. forces from hostilities with Iran.Β 

Tiffany, the Republican candidate for governor, voted as follows:

Tiffany was not present to vote on a Sept. 15 war resolution that came three days after he survived an emergency landing of a plane carrying him from a campaign event.

Tiffany said during a May 14 podcast appearance that it was time to β€œwrap up” the conflict in Iran. He said on Sept. 22 that his past no votes were because the president already has the authority to exit the war.
