โ€œThermometers donโ€™t care whoโ€™s in office,โ€ said Dan Vimont, a professor of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. โ€œBy undercutting our ability to monitor and assess the current state of our world, we are disadvantaging ourselves economically, and weโ€™re disadvantaging ourselves in our national security as well.โ€ย
