Jim Lovell was the first astronaut to travel to space four times and the leader of the harrowing Apollo 13 mission. He died earlier this month at the age of 97. The coauthor of the Apollo 13 recounting, “Lost Moon” explored Lovell’s legacy.

Leon Lewis: The Nazi-fighting spymaster from a northern Wisconsin town

Leon Lewis will be honored with a marker and an exhibit opening Wednesday, Aug. 20, at the Iron County Historical Museum in Hurley. Lewis' grandson Tom Read and Kristin Kolesar of the Iron County Historical Society and Museum spoke with WPR’s Robin Washington on “Morning Edition” about the legacy of the spymaster from Hurley.

Both of Superior’s Carnegie library buildings are now for sale. The East End library, which became a private residence in 1992, is on the market for $375,000. The Central Branch, which has been vacant since 1992, is in serious disrepair.
