Lotus is gearing up to launch the 2026 Eletre and Emeya this summer, and the company has announced a handful of welcome changes. While the updates aren’t too dramatic, they better communicate power and equipment.

As part of the change, there are new “600” and “900” monikers. The former has a dual-motor all-wheel drive system with 603 hp (450 kW / 612 PS), while the latter boasts 905 hp (675 kW / 918 PS).

That isn’t the only revision as Lotus has established six “clearly defined trim levels” called the 600, 600 GT, 600 GT SE, 600 Sport SE, 900 Sport, and 900 Sport Carbon. While the availability of these trims varies by market, they help to establish a hierarchy.

The entry-level Eletre 600 comes equipped with LED lighting units, 20-inch wheels, and an active air suspension. They’re joined by a 29-inch head-up display, a 15-speaker audio system, and a four-zone climate control system. Customers will also find a Jasper interior with LotusWear Performance Fabric seats.

The 600 GT adds larger 22-inch wheels, six-piston brake calipers, highway assist, and a parking package. The 600 GT SE goes even further with an electrochromic glass roof, illuminated side sills, adjustable ambient lighting, and an upgraded 23-speaker audio system. The 600 Sport SE takes things in a more dynamic direction thanks to a handling package, an active rear spoiler, soft-close doors, and upgraded front seats featuring ventilation and massage functions.

The Eletre 900 Sport is essentially a high-performance and decontented version of the Sport SE, while the 900 Sport Carbon adds interior and exterior carbon fiber trim, a composite hood, soft-close doors, and the aforementioned front seats.

The Emeya trims are largely identical, but the model has a larger 51-inch head-up display as well as different wheels that appear to max out at 21-inches.

Aside from the new names and trims, the Eletre features a revised color palette. It now includes Akoya White and Zenith White.

In terms of performance, the Emeya 600 accelerates from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 4.15 seconds before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Likewise, the Eletre 600 hits 62 mph (100 km/h) in 4.5 seconds and can eventually top out at 159 mph (256 km/h).

The 900 variants have the same top speeds, but the Emeya 900 hits 62 mph (100 km/h) in a mere 2.78 seconds. The Eletre 900 accomplishes the task shortly thereafter at 2.95 seconds.

The Emeya has a 102 kWh battery pack that allows for a WLTP range of up to 379 miles (610 km). The Eletre’s 112 kWh unit allows for a slightly less impressive range of 373 miles (600 km).

Both models are currently available to order and UK pricing starts at £84,990 for both the Eletre and Emeya.

The GMC Sierra EV lineup is expanding for 2026 as the company is adding new AT4 and Elevation trims. This gives customers more choice as well as a significantly lower starting price of $62,400.

Kicking things off is the entry-level Sierra EV Elevation, which has a streamlined but no frills design. GMC didn’t go into many specifics, but said the model comes equipped with a power eTrunk, a MultiPro tailgate, and 18-inch wheels featuring a two-tone finish.

Buyers will also find an After Dark interior with a 16.8-inch infotainment system. Sadly, the Denali’s beautiful wood trim is replaced by a cloth strip that looks like it was stolen from a 1980’s office chair.

The Elevation will be available with Standard and Extended Range batteries, although GM didn’t provide range estimates. Both will be powered by a dual-motor all-wheel drive system and the Extended Range variant will have 645 hp (481 kW / 654 PS) and 765 lb-ft (1,036 Nm) of torque.

2026 GMC Sierra EV AT4

The off-road focused Sierra EV AT4 starts at $79,300. It’s distinguished by a lifted suspension and 18-inch wheels that are wrapped in 35-inch all-terrain tires. This combination gives the truck an additional 2 inches (51 mm) of ground clearance.

The off-road upgrades don’t end there as the AT4 comes standard with a 4-Wheel Steer system, which significantly improves maneuverability and makes it feel like you’re driving a significantly smaller pickup. Buyers will also find a gimmicky CrabWalk function as well as a trim-exclusive Terrain Mode.

Rounding out the highlights are an illuminated front badge and standard Super Cruise. The model also has a unique Forest Storm interior, which appears to include embroidered headrests as well as special seats with contrasting white accents.

2026 GMC Sierra EV Elevation

The Sierra EV AT4 will be offered with Extended and Max Range batteries. The former has 625 hp (466 kW / 634 PS), while the latter boasts 725 hp (541 kW / 735 PS). While their horsepower ratings vary, both versions have 775 lb-ft (1,050 Nm) of torque.

The Sierra EV Denali returns for 2026 with Standard, Extended, and Max Range batteries. Thanks to the addition of an entry-level battery, the base price plummets from $89,900 to $69,700. It’s also worth noting the Extended Range variant falls from $89,900 to $77,900 for a $12,000 savings.

GMC was coy on detailed performance specs, but the Denali Max Range will have 760 hp (567 kW / 771 PS) and 785 lb-ft (1,063 Nm) of torque.

The 2026 Sierra EV is expected to arrive at dealers this summer and, when it does, customers will find several new colors including Coastal Dune, Deep Bronze Metallic, Magnus Matte, and Glacier White Tri-Coat Metallic.

2026 GMC Sierra EV Pricing

It’s been almost eight months since the 2025 Audi A6 e-tron was unveiled in Europe, and now we get to find out the range and pricing details for the US market. Going head-to-head with the BMW i5 and Mercedes-Benz EQE, the new A6 e-tron will be sold exclusively in Sportback guise, meaning the Avant version will remain forbidden fruit.

Sitting at the base of the range is the Audi A6 Sportback e-tron, starting from $65,900 for the Premium trim level, excluding a $1,295 destination and delivery fee. The base model is also available in Premium Plus ($69,800), and Prestige ($72,200) guises. Upgrades enjoyed by the Premium Plus and Prestige models include LED headlights with digital DRLs and interior ambient lighting. The Prestige also adds eight different light signatures and adaptive air suspension.

Driving the base version is a 100 kWh (94.4 kWh net) battery driving a single electric motor at the rear with 375 hp. The cheapest i5 in the US is the eDrive40 model, punching out 335 hp and starting at $67,100. The Mercedes-Benz EQE is substantially pricier, starting at $74,900 for the EQE 350+ Sedan with just 288 hp.

The A6 Sportback e-tron range also includes the standard Quattro model. This model has the same battery pack, but features two electric motors, combining to pump out 456 hp. Prices start at $67,900 for the Premium, $71,800 for the Premium Plus, and $74,200 for the Prestige. The closest comparable i5 is the xDrive40, but it makes do with only 389 hp and starts at $70,100. Prices for the EQE 500 4Matic with its 402 hp start at $85,900.

Sitting at the top of the range is the Audi S6 Sportback e-tron. It delivers an impressive 543 hp and is available from $78,700 for the Premium, $82,200 for the Premium Plus, and $84,600 for the Prestige. All S6 versions come with sport adaptive air suspension and Prestige models include digital OLED taillights not found elsewhere in the range.

The base A6 Sportback e-tron has a quoted range of 392 miles (631 km) while the Quattro version with its added performance offers 377 miles (607 km) of range when fitted with the ultra package, which includes 19-inch wheels and all-season tires. The S6 Sportback e-tron has a quoted range of 324 miles (521 km). All models have an 800-volt system and support charging speeds of up to 270 kW, meaning the battery can be topped up from 10-80% in 21 minutes.

If you’re in the market for a used car, there’s some good news as a study found the average price of a 1- to 5-year-old used vehicle is $31,257. That’s down $239 from a year ago, which equates to a modest drop of 0.8%.

However, if you’re in the market for an EV, it’s time to pop the bubbly. According to iSeeCars’ latest study, the price of a late model used electric vehicle plummeted 15.1% from a year ago.

That means the average 1- to 5-year-old EV costs $32,198. That’s $5,709 less than last year and is just slightly more than the $31,281 average price of a gas-powered model.

Tesla was the big loser as their average used vehicle price dropped to $31,733, which was a decline of $5,013 or 13.6%. Maserati posted a larger price drop of $5,208 but that’s only down 10.6% from a year ago. Chrysler finished off the loser’s podium as their used vehicles lost $2,058 or 7.6% compared to last year.

iSeeCars blamed the steep Tesla declines on a variety of factors including new vehicle price drops, an aging product lineup, and stalling demand for new and used EVs. It’s also worth mentioning that Elon Musk’s political transformation appears to have alienated some customers and put owners in the crosshairs, limiting Tesla’s appeal.

That being said, “used car prices have largely stabilized.” This includes EVs, to an extent, as “used electric vehicle pricing was dropping around 30% every month in the first half of 2024, but over the past six months it’s been down between 15% and 20%.” That’s far from good, but things are improving.

For comparison, used gasoline and hybrid vehicle prices were only down 0.5% from a year ago. That equates to a mere $160.

Given this, iSeeCars Executive Analyst Karl Brauer said “It’s not easy to find a great deal in today’s used car market, but if an electric vehicle can serve your personal transportation needs, most used models have dropped substantially in cost over the past year, especially compared to gas and hybrid models.”

Unfortunately, the future looks grim as Brauer stated “There’s no indication prices will drop from their current levels throughout 2025 and, with tariffs looming, the price of both new and used cars could potentially rise.”

That’s a bit of a bummer, but you can save money by picking certain vehicles. The BMW 5-Series Hybrid, Porsche Taycan, and Tesla Model S saw the biggest price drops. The Taycan, in particular, was down a staggering 26.5% ($26,626) from a year ago. Of course, you’d still be looking at spending $73,976 for a used one.

Used Hybrid Pricing

The Toyota bZ4X was supposed to be the brand’s answer to the Tesla Model Y, and the slew of other similarly-sized electric SUVs on the market, but it’s never really taken off the way Toyota would have hoped (although sales did double last year in the US). Not dissuaded by this, Toyota has updated it for the 2026 model year in Europe, and it promises to be better in all areas. This new model will also be available in the US.

The most significant changes come on the battery front. New to the bZ4X range is an entry-level 57.7 kWh battery pack. This lithium-ion pack is the same one available in the new C-HR+ and available exclusively in the base front-wheel drive model. This version has a 165 hp (123 kW) electric motor and promises a WLTP range of 276 miles (445 km).

Two other versions of the bZ4X have been announced, both with a new 73.1 kWh battery pack. The lesser of these models packs 221 hp (165 kW) and can travel 356 miles (573 km) on a charge, while the flagship all-wheel drive model has 338 hp (252 kW) and a quoted range of 323 miles (520 km). Perhaps most impressive is that this version needs just 5.1 seconds to hit 62 mph (100 km/h) – not bad for an unassuming Toyota SUV.

Toyota says it’s improved the energy density of both packs and also increased the number of cells used in each. Improvements have also been made to the electric motors and they now include silicon carbide semiconductors.

Charging Improvements

Several other improvements have been made. For example, the new bZ4X comes equipped with battery pre-conditioning that will allow for more efficient high-speed charging in cold conditions. The onboard AC charger on high-spec models now sports 22 kW, rather than 11 kW, but peak DC charging speed remains capped at 150 kW, which is less than some of the competition. Toyota is aiming for a 10-80% charge in approximately 30 minutes. Shoppers will also be pleased to hear the bZ4X’s towing capacity has been doubled to 3,306 lbs (1,500 kg).

Few changes have been made to the exterior of the EV, other than some minor tweaks to improve aerodynamics at the front end. Plenty of alterations have been made to the cabin. Key upgrades include a simplified digital instrument cluster and a new 14-inch screen that ditches the separate climate control switches of the old model.

Tesla is currently transitioning to its updated Model Y Juniper, but for now, the $59,990 Limited Edition of the refreshed crossover is the only option available in the United States. However, many pre-facelift models are lingering in stock, including several of the top-tier Model Y Performance trims. To clear out this inventory, Tesla is offering some huge discounts, and the deals are surprisingly good. In fact, in some states with additional incentives, you can snag one for under $33,000.

Before you click “Buy,” keep in mind that the updated Model Y offers several key improvements over the first generation. Beyond cosmetic changes like a new front and rear design, it features reduced noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH), a revamped suspension to address earlier complaints, and upgraded interior materials. Plus, a new Model Y Performance version is on the way.

Looking at Europe and China, where the standard versions of the new Model Y Juniper are already available, we expect the updated version to launch in the next month or so at a similar price point (without any discounts in the beginning) to the current model. Something to consider if you’re eyeing the older model.

Nearly $20,000 Off—With Some Catch

Right now, the brand has several Model Y Performance examples in stock and these aren’t cars that have been sitting around for a year or more. Most are 2025 model year cars and Tesla has hacked up to $8,000 off the price in some cases.

Stack on that the $7,500 federal tax credit and additional discounts available in states like Colorado ($3,850), Illinois ($4,000), New Jersey ($2,000), Vermont ($2,500), Massachusetts ($3,500) and others, and you’re looking at just shy of $20,000 off the MSRP of $51,490. That means this car can be yours for less than $33,000 before taxes and delivery fees, an absolute steal. Plus, with Tesla’s direct-sales model, there’s no haggling—just a simple press of a button.

To put that into perspective, that’s around the price of a near-base compact SUV. For example, the base 2025 Subaru Forester starts at $29,995, with the next trim, the Premium, starting at $32,310.

Keep in mind that Tesla’s Model Y Performance, believed to produce around 470 hp, can rocket from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in 3.5 seconds with a rollout. That’s quicker than a new Ford Mustang Dark Horse, a Toyota Supra, a Porsche 911 Carrera and only 0.1 seconds slower than the Aston Martin Vantage. We’re talking about bonafide speed at what is essentially the price of a base Honda CR-V. There’s little question which is more fun to drive.

Not Just Speed. It’s Practical, Too

At the same time, it’s not as if this is some one-trick pony. The Model Y Performance offers a claimed 277 miles of range, five seats (or optionally seven for two very small kids), up to 76 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded down. That’s as much space for gear as some three-row SUVs. Furthermore, it also comes with a solid list of standard kit, including vegan leather, 21-inch wheels, and a full safety suite.

Of course, all of this comes with a caveat. Right now, anything related to Tesla—whether it’s owners, stores, or Supercharger stations—is under fire from several directions. To be clear, none of this is the fault of the owners, but it’s still something to keep in mind. At least, in this case, they can outrun just about anyone who might try to chase them down to slap a sticker on their car.

It’s been eight months since Honda previewed its China-only Ye S7, and now the production version has officially arrived. As the Japanese brand continues its push upmarket in various regions, this all-electric SUV doesn’t try to compete with the bargain-bin electric crossovers flooding the market. Instead, it’s aiming for something a bit more premium, but still relatively affordable, at least by American standards. The S7 starts at ¥259,900, which comes to about $35,800.

Interestingly, the production model has dropped the ‘Ye’ from its name and is simply called the S7. It’s no Lamborghini Urus, but for a Honda, it’s a surprisingly daring design. In fact, it stands out in a way that no other Honda sold in markets outside of China does, which will help it cut through the noise of China’s crowded car market. The S7 is the product of Honda’s joint venture with Dongfeng and is set to compete with the likes of the Tesla Model Y, the Onvo L60, and the Zeekr 7X.

Powertrains and Range Options

At its core, the S7 is built on a dedicated EV platform and comes equipped with an 89.8 kWh battery pack. The base model features a single electric motor that delivers a modest 268 horsepower (200 kW) to the rear wheels. While not exactly thrilling, that output should be more than enough for everyday driving, and the more affordable variant has a claimed range of 404 miles (650 km) on the Chinese CLTC cycle.

For those craving more performance, there’s a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive version. This ups the ante by adding a 201-horsepower (150 kW) motor to the front axle, pushing total output to a more impressive 469 hp (350 kW). While that extra power and weight decrease the range to 385 miles (620 km), it’s still more than sufficient for most drivers.

In terms of dimensions, the S7 is 4,750 mm (187.0 inches) long, 1,930 mm (75.98 inches) wide, and 1,625 mm (64.02 inches) tall, riding on a relatively large 2,930 mm (115.4 inches) wheelbase, with a minimum ground clearance of 193 mm (7.6 inches). This puts the S7 in the range of your average compact SUV for exterior dimensions, but with a wheelbase that’s closer to, or even longer than, that of many mid-size SUVs. For comparison, the Honda Pilot has a shorter 113.8-inch (2,891 mm) wheelbase.

Inside, the S7 leans heavily into tech and luxury. The centerpiece is a 12.8-inch portrait-oriented infotainment screen perched in the center of the dashboard. Just ahead of the driver, there’s a 9.9-inch digital instrument cluster, and gone are the traditional wing mirrors, replaced by cameras and screens mounted on the doors.

The cabin of the electric Honda also features twin glass roof panels for that open, airy feel, and if you’re an audiophile, you can opt for a 16-speaker Bose sound system with speakers in the front headrests. While the luxury touches are nice, they’re not exactly groundbreaking, but they should appeal to buyers looking for something a bit more refined in the electric SUV space.

China is quickly establishing itself as the global epicenter for affordable electric vehicles, and for good reason. However, most of the budget-friendly EVs have come from homegrown brands that have been able to work around the traditional constraints that have slowed down legacy automakers.

But now, even Toyota, a legacy company that’s been criticized for its sluggishness in adopting electric vehicles, is jumping into the fray with a shockingly low starting price in the Chinese market, especially considering its size and features.

The vehicle in question is the bZ3X and it’s been brought to life thanks to Toyota’s joint venture with GAC. It was first presented in December, but sales of it only just started. It’s proven to be so popular that more than 10,000 orders were placed for it within an hour, causing the system to crash. Looking at what shoppers will be getting for their money, it’s easy to understand why the bZ3X is so red hot.

Pricing Details

Prices for the electric SUV start at 109,800 yuan, or roughly $15,000 at current exchange rates. Considering the compact SUV’s size and features, that’s an incredibly competitive price. For context, the GAC Toyota Highlander, similar to the one sold in North America, starts at 284,800 yuan ($39,300), while the Camry starts at 171,800 yuan ($23,700).

At that price, you’re getting the base version of the bZ3X, called the 430 Air. It comes with a 50.03 kWh LFP battery pack. While that’s on the smaller side for an SUV of this size, Toyota claims it’s good for 267 miles (430 km) of range on the CTLC cycle. However, since China’s testing cycle tends to be extremely generous, the real-world range will likely be closer to 250 miles (402 km). If you’re looking for a bit more equipment, there’s also a slightly upgraded 430 Air+ version available, starting at 119,800 yuan (~$16,500).

Toyota will also offer the bZ3X in 520 Pro (¥120,980 / ~$16,700) and 520 Pro+ (¥139,800 / ~$19,300) guises, both of which use a larger 58.37 kWh battery and have a quoted range of 323 miles (520 km). All 430 and 520 models feature a single 204 hp electric motor. The version offering the most range is the 610 Max, rocking a 67.92 kWh pack and good for 379 miles (610 km) on a charge. It also has a more powerful 224 hp motor. It starts at ¥159,800 (~$22,000)

Two versions of the 520 Pro offering advanced driver-assistance systems have also been announced, priced at ¥149,800 (~$20,700) and ¥159,800 (~$22,000), respectively. These models include 11 cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, 3mm wave radars, and one LiDAR, all powered by the Nvidia Drive AGX Orin X.

The cabin of the bZ3X certainly isn’t super-luxurious as far as Chinese-built EVs go, but it does look decent. It features a 14.6-inch infotainment display, an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, and an 11-speaker Yamaha audio system, all fitted as standard.

Soon after Costco’s Auto Program introduced a slew of discounts for several GM models, new savings were announced for new Audi models. The discounts will be available from March 4 through April 30 and unlike the GM deal that was mainly limited to EVs, the savings are available for both ICE and EV models.

If you’re a member of Costco, the retailer’s Auto Program aims to make the car buying experience easier as it does all the price haggling with dealerships. To benefit from the Audi discounts, all shoppers need to do is select the model they’d like and register for a savings certificate that can be presented at any Audi dealership in the US.

The Audi A3, Q3, Q4 e-tron, and Q4 Sportback e-tron are all available with a $1,000 discount, while numerous other Audi models are available with a $2,000 saving. These include the A5 Sportback, S5 Sportback, A6 Sedan, A6 Allroad, S6, A7 Sedan, S7, A8, S8, Q5, Q5 Sportback, SQ5, SQ5 Sportback, Q7, SQ7, Q8, SQ8, Q6 e-tron, SQ6 e-tron, Q8 e-tron, Q8 Sportback e-tron, SQ8 e-tron, SQ8 Sportback e-tron, e-tron GT, S e-tron GT, and RS e-tron GT.

These incentives can be paired with any other incentives currently offered by Audi or individual dealerships. There’s plenty of demand for new Audi models from Costco memberships, which may come as a bit of a surprise. The retailer says the Audi A5, A8, A6, Q5, and Q4 e-tron were the most popular among its members in their respective segments last year.

“If a member is looking for a new luxury sedan, SUV or electric vehicle, the Audi Limited-Time Special is a great place to start,” Costco Auto Program general manager Cory Benwell said. “Audi is very popular among the Costco members who use our program and we’re helping them get into the vehicle they want at an exclusive value.”
